The design Ward Bennett considered his most comfortable chair.
A contemporary take on a 19th-century folding deck chair, the Scissor Chair combines simplicity, support, and comfort in an elegant form. An early version appeared in 1964, but four years later, Ward Bennett had refined his design to a series of softened rectangular sections with a seat height of just fifteen-and-a-half inches. The Scissor Chair is available with leather or textile upholstery and a wood or metal frame.
